Kevin Scott AYDELOTT

Kevin Scott Aydelott, 64 of St. Charles, MO passed away on May 15, 2025, surrounded by his family. He is survived by his wife of 25 years Mary Jane McDermott Aydelott; sons Daniel (Terresa) Aydelott, Parker (Nikoletta) Aydelott, and Ryan (Camron) Aydelott, and bonus granddaughter Paisley; mother Mary Ann Eckler Koetting, stepmother Janice Aydelott, grandmother Dee Ann Aydelott, brother Kenneth (Gina) Aydelott, step siblings David, Michael and Jeffrey Koetting, Lori (Chad) Vollrath, Donald (Jeanne) Carey; nieces Kayla (Quinn) Klenke, Chloe and Leah Vollrath, nephews Christopher (Marissa) Aydelott, Deryk Carey and great nephews Rhett and Wyatt Klenke. He was preceded in death by his father Thomas L. Aydelott and stepfather Jack Koetting. Kevin grew up in Brentwood, MO and spent his high school years in Boonville, MO where he graduated in 1979. He worked as a corrections officer for the St. Louis County Justice Services for 21 years. He then became an amazing stay at home dad to sons Parker and Ryan, teaching them to cook and hunt and enjoy nature. Kevin was an outstanding dart player and competed in many leagues. He was an excellent grill master famous for his chicken wings. A fan of the St Louis Blues, Cardinals and Rams, he enjoyed tailgating with friends and family. Kevin had a passion for collecting casino chips and was a life member of the Casino Chip and Gaming Token Collectors Club. Attending rock concerts was also a favorite past time, Ted Nugent being his favorite. He will always be remembered for being the most thoughtful gift giver. Most of all, Kevin enjoyed spending time with his family. His laughter and smile will be missed by all who loved him. A special thank you to his physical therapists Hannah and Kathleen, who worked with him over the years and to the staff at Mercy Hospital who treated him with care and respect in his last days. A Celebration of Life will be held on Sunday, June 1, 2025, from 2:00 pm to 6:00 pm at the Professional Firefighters of Eastern Missouri Hall at 115 McMenamy Rd, St. Peters, MO 63376, cash bar for those who wish.
