The is My Amazing Grace.” -alcendoterrell33 The Obituary July 09, 1946 – March 18, 2014 On Tuesday, March 18, 2014, at 5:58 P.M. at Christian North East Hospital, One we loved so dearly and knew so very well stepped across the thres hold of death. Jerry Robinson was born on July 9th, 1946, in Tuscaloosa, Alabama to the union of Estella and Willie James Robinson. He confessed in Christ at an early age at Holley Spring’s Baptist Church in Romulus, Alabama. Jerry was educated in the Tuscaloosa County School System upon graduating from Riverside High School. He later earned a trade diploma in plumbering which allowed him to work as a plumber for several years. However, he made a career change and became an “over the road truck driver” for about 30 years. Jerry enjoyed this career to the fullest. He was proud to be called “Highroller” because he could quickly put some miles behind him with ease without a navigation system. Not many truckers could measure up to Highroller, he had to roll on without Jerry was often recognized as being the most effective, safe, dependable driver of the year… He became an expert at using a road map. Jerry was a traveling man and he took pride in assisting other with directions as they traveled. He was married at a young age to Leola Cochran upon that matrimony five wonderful sons were born, Stevie (Lisa) Robinson, Tuscaloosa, AL, Jerry Robinson Jr, Lake Charles, Louisiana, Alcendo Terrell Robinson, Birmingham, AL, Tyrone Robinson, Tuscaloosa, AL, and Brian Keith Robinson, Lake Charles Louisianna, and one adopted son Aarian Crutcher, Tuscaloosa , AL. Four brothers, James (Sarah) Robinson, St. Louis, MO, James Brown, Birmingham, AL, Lorenzo (Mae Willie) Robinson, York, AL, Rodney Horton, Tuscaloosa, AL, three sisters, Marian Robinson, Birmingham, AL, Pinkye Lawrence, Tuscaloosa, Belra Williams, Tuscaloosa, AL. He leaves to mourn him a host of grandchildren, relatives, and friends. He leaves special memories of his life with his significant other, Virginia Robinson, who was his faithful aide and companion during his time of illness. The Order of Service Musical Prelude….
