Edward S. LISZEWSKI

Edward S Liszewski, 72, of Lake St. Louis, MO, died unexpectedly on Thursday, September 14th, 2023. Edward was the first child born to the late Alfred and Betty Liszewski on April 29th, 1951. Edward attended Our Lady of Perpetual Help during his primary years and graduated from McBride High School in 1969. Ed was proud to serve his country in the 82nd Airborne. Eddie loved playing softball, boating & fishing, and most of all his family. Loving husband to Linda Liszewski (nee McArthur), who shared with Ed; a sense of humor, the courage to dance like no one's watching, love of friends, family, and 14 years of marriage. Loving and loyal father to two sons from his first marriage; His son Tommy Liszewski, who preceded his father in death, looked up to his father with admiration and gratitude. And son Joe Liszewski, whom he guarded with his life. Edward leaves behind many beloved family members in his wake. He may have answered to "Edward", "Ed", or "Eddie". Most importantly, he would always answer. He was a giving and selfless soul, especially when it came to family. Loving brother to Michael (Jessica) Liszewski and Steve Liszewski. Loving uncle to many nieces and nephews. Loving stepfather to Tony and Stacey. Through his marriage he also gained a new name to answer by, "Papa Ed" and leaves grandchildren Kole, Carson, Eric, Simon and great grandchildren Penelope and Kylie. Ed was a lover and a fighter. A beloved son, he treated his mother with love and respect. A caregiver to his father, instinctively tending to his needs through his last days. A Best Man to his brother Mike. A helping hand to his friends. He fought for his country to be proud of himself. He fought his demons, as life undoubtedly hands out to us all. He fought to protect his loved ones. He fought for his children to have a better life. For 72 years he kept loving and kept fighting. Now is his time to rest and be at peace eternally. There will be a Celebration of Life at Alternative Funeral & Cremation Services on Wednesday, September 27, 2023 from 9:30 - 11:30am. Following the Celebration of Life, we will be going in procession to Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery for a 12:30pm Committal Service with Military Honors.
