Steven Eugene Elmore, 59, of Wentzville, Missouri, passed away on December 7, 2020, after he “fought the good fight” battling COVID 19. He is survived by his wife Karen Elmore (née Davis), his mom Judy Elmore (née Kilbreth), his dad Larry Elmore, and his brother Keith Elmore (Katherine). A memorial and life celebration will be on June 9, 2021 at Grand Slam Ballpark, 2850 St. Peters Howell Road, St. Peters, Missouri, 63376. The memorial will begin at 6:00 p.m. with a life celebration reception to follow. Dress is casual and please wear your favorite baseball cap and/or shirt. Steve loved the game of baseball and liked shooting pool and hanging out with family, friends, and neighbors. You could usually find him at a ballfield or watching a game on television. He played baseball at the collegiate level, coached little league, American Legion, SLABA, and college teams. Over the years, MANY of his former players have said “Steve was the best coach I ever played for at any level.” He attended McCluer North High School, Florissant Valley Community College, and Northwest Missouri State University. He worked in the family airfreight forwarding business and in the restaurant business. He will be greatly missed by his wife, family, and friends. Be at peace Steve!
