Sally Elizabeth REARDON Obituary - Visitation & Funeral Information

Sally Elizabeth Reardon, age 73, of St Charles, Missouri passed away on May 6, 2022. She was born in Bath, England, County of Somerset on July 23, 1948 to Albert and Mildred East. Sally immigrated to America with her family in 1952 and spent most of her life in Southern California. For the past 23 years, Sally was the beloved wife of Mark F. Reardon. She is survived by her loving husband Mark, a beautiful daughter Bonnie Duhart of Katy Texas and a sister Caroline Troup of Camarillo, California. Sally was a creative and giving soul whose life centered on helping people. She opened a large dance school in Los Angeles in the 90’s catering to the country western dance community. After marrying Mark, they began competing in Country Western dance competitions where her vivacious and sparkling personality along with wonderful dance skills won over judges and audiences across the country and resulted in a very successful 7 years of competition. She later added ballroom to her dance repertoire where waltz and tango became her favorite dances. After moving to Missouri in 2007, Sally ramped up her quilting hobby and turned it into a business. Sally was incredibly creative and many of her quilts won prizes in local competitions, but her real passion for quilting was her love of people and turning people’s personal items into memory quilts. Her greatest joy came from seeing the joyful tears of a customer seeing their loved one’s memories immortalized in beautifully crafted quilts. Sally was born again and baptized in 2009 at Grace Church. As a strong Christian woman, she actively participated in Church activities and led the hospitality team at Grace for several years. She later served on the Hospitality team at Harvester Christian Church. Sally was diagnosed with “Posterior Cortical Atrophy” in 2017, a rare form of dementia that ended her quilting career. She handled the diagnosis with dignity and strength of soul that was a hallmark of her life. As was typical for Sally, her first thoughts went to how her condition might be useful for others in the search for a cure to dementia. Sally’s wonderful and giving personality, her warm smile and captivating laugh will be missed by all that knew her, but she Loved Jesus and now in his presence, she continues to brighten all those around her. Sally's Memorial Service will be held on July 8th in the Chapel at Harvester Christian Church, 2950 Kings crossing, St Charles, Mo., 63303 at 4:00PM. Visitation will start at 2:30.
