Robert Joseph KEOUGH
November 25, 1933 - June 10, 2021
Robert Joseph Keough: November 25, 1933 -June 10, 2021 (87 years). He is survived by his wife Sally, sons Matt (Kim), Tony (Jean), Chris (Dawn), and daughter Sarah (Scott). He was preceded in death by his daughter, Kathleen. Bob was a loving husband, father, grandfather of 13, great grandfather of 5, brother, brother-in-law, god-father, uncle, and friend. He had 46 nieces and nephews (and knew every one of them by name). He married Sally, the love of his life in 1955 and started a journey that would last 65 years. He was a wonderful provider for his family, having worked as an electrical engineer until retirement. He was once described as “a great big heart with feet.” He was always concerned with the welfare of others - he always made you promise to call when you got home so he wouldn’t worry. Bob loved to make spaghetti and meatball dinners and feed everyone - and when shopping for company, whatever was on the list, if we needed one he would get three. When the kids were teens, the Keough house was where all their friends wanted to be. He was Dad to them too, and they felt his great big heart as much as anyone. Everyone will remember him for his sense of humor, the little diddies that he would sing, being a life-long Cubs fan, and for his general love and enjoyment of life. Even through hard times which the family experienced over the years, it would be no surprise to turn the corner and find Mom and Dad dancing in the kitchen. Bob left this world peacefully in his sleep, and awakened in the next to the glorious presence of his Savior. Well done, good and faithful servant. Mass of Christian Burial will be at 11 a.m. on Friday, June 25, St. Joseph Catholic Parish, 1351 Motherhead Rd., Cottleville (St. Charles), Missouri 63304.
