Paul F. (Slim) Sebacher, 98, passed away peacefully at his home surrounded by family on Friday May 7, 2021. He was born January 16, 1923 in Colwich, Kansas, the son of the late Alois Sebacher and Mathilda (Debrecht) Sebacher. He joined the U.S. Navy during WWII and served six war patrols on the submarine USS Picuda in the Pacific. On June 19, 1946, he was united in marriage to Geraldine (Borgmeyer) Sebacher, and they made their lifetime home in St. Charles until her passing on August 11, 2013. He was an avid gardener and had a great sense of humor. He enjoyed bowling, playing cards, fishing, cooking, farming on weekends, raising his own beef cattle, and spending time with his family doing lots of laughing. Devoted father of Steve (Cindy) Sebacher, the late Diane (Mike) Leverenz, and David (Karen) Sebacher. Loving grandfather of Stephanie (Heath) Thomure, Jesse (Michele) Sebacher, Ryan Sebacher, Nicole Schupmann, Katie (Michael) Reuter, Andy (Alyssa) Leverenz, and Scott (Valerie) Sebacher; treasured great-grandfather of Stephen Thomure, Elise Sebacher, Ian Sebacher, Elizabeth Sebacher, Hunter Schupmann, Hazel Schupmann, Barrett Reuter, Brooks Reuter, Lex Leverenz, Ruby Leverenz, Abbygail Sebacher, Aaron Sebacher, and Austin Sebacher; dear brother of the late Helen Rothermich, Ralph Sebacher, Dorothy Mazanec, and Don Sebacher. Paul is also survived by good friend Michell Dupske. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Paul’s name to St. Charles County Veterans Museum, 410 East Elm St., O’Fallon, MO. There will be a Memorial Mass on Friday, May 21, 2021 at 10:00 am at St. Robert Bellarmine Church, 1424 S 1st Capitol Dr, St Charles, MO 63303. There will be a Graveside Service with Military Honor’s at St. Charles memorial Gardens on Friday, May 21, 2021 at 11:30 am.
