December 13, 1954 - December 6, 2021
Larry R Rogers, son of the late Paul and Pauline (Lawson) Rogers, was born on December 13th, 1954 and passed away December 6th, 2021. Larry was 66 years old. Larry was born and raised with his two sisters, Virginia and Brenda in St. Louis, Missouri. After graduating from Roosevelt High School he married his high school sweetheart, Sheree Rogers, in 1973. He was always a jack of all trades, working early on as a driver of tow trucks, dump trucks, snow plows, anything with an engine, before working in the bakeries of Kroger & Wonder Bread. He then spent over 25 years working for Wonder Bread (Hostess), where he made countless friends. Vacationing often at the Lake of the Ozarks with friends and family always brought him the most joy and the biggest smile. He loved being on the water, fishing, boating, and relaxing. After his retirement, he moved permanently to the Ozarks with Sheree. There they built a new home together in Climax Springs, and were a constant bright spot in their community, always helping others with whatever they might need. As a couple, they both made lasting friendships with their neighbors and fully enjoyed their retirement. He truly had empathy and compassion for everyone, and he cherished the relationships he formed with his friends and neighbors. Larry was preceded in his passing by his parents, and his step mother Jane. He is survived by his wife of 48 years, Sheree, his two children Mark and Angela, his son in law Jerry Wintrode, his daughter in law Kristie Rogers, and his grandchildren Skyler, Andrew and Mitchell. He also leaves behind nieces, nephews, countless friends, and other family members who will miss him dearly. A memorial service will be planned at a later date.
