Kenneth Dale APRIL Obituary - Visitation & Funeral Information

Kenneth Dale April, 76 of Warrenton, MO. passed away Tuesday, August 2, 2022. He was born to Edward and Vivian (Ballard) April on October 1, 1945 in St. Louis, MO. He is survived by his children: A.J. April, of Troy, Missouri; Brian April, of Wentzville, Missouri and Elizabeth (Chad) Honerkamp of O’Fallon, Missouri. He was the loving grandpa to Bennett Honerkamp. Ken is preceded in death by his parents and brother, Lawrence April. He proudly worked 33 years at MEMC (Monsanto) where he then retired to start another career as a school bus driver with Fort Zumwalt School District. MEMC and FZSD was the source of many of his life-long friendships. Ken had many hobbies throughout his life. Duck hunting and golfing with his dearest friends held a special place in his heart. He was a long time University of Missouri Football season ticket holder, and enjoyed spending that time in Columbia, MO with his daughter. He was a proud member of the “unofficial neighborhood watch” in the many places he lived and even visited. If you needed to know anything about anyone, he seemed to know. Sweet talking was a skill he perfected, although by some of his closest loved ones he would be described as stubborn at times. Wine on the patio with family and friends was his most favorite way to spend his time. Being a grandfather was one of his most proud accomplishments. He will be incredibly missed by many.
