Joy Jean McClement-Worn Obituary - Visitation & Funeral Information

Joy Jean McClement-Worn, of St. Charles, MO, passed away on July 13, 2022 in her home at the age of 76. Joy was born on January 4, 1946 in Independence, MO, to Roy Gene and Mary Lee Webster. She was united in marriage April 24, 1992, to Gene E. Worn in New Bloomfield, MO. Joy was the beloved mother of Margaret (Keith) Feilner of St. Charles, MO, Joy Benne of Osage Beach, MO, Eugenia (Robert) Hounsell of Little River, SC and grandmother to 8 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren with one on the way. Her sister Jean Weiner of St. Peters, MO. also survives her. She was preceded in death by her husband Gene E. Worn, her parents and her brother Robert Webster. Joy retired as the Director of Accounting for the House of Representatives and was then appointed to Auditor of Camden County, MO. She then went on to serve as the Auditor of St. Louis County, MO before retiring in 2007 from another position for St. Louis County. Joy was involved with many clubs and organizations after her retirement. They include The National Button Society, The Missouri State Button Society and Let’s Crochet & Knit. Joy was an avid button, button hook and buckle collector. She was known to have a keen eye for buttons and was proud of the blue ribbons that she won at various competitions. There will be a Celebration of Life gathering on September 10, 2022, at Glendale Manor, 1505 South Old Hwy 94 in the first floor community room from 10 am - 2pm.
