Jody Lynn JENSEN Obituary - Visitation & Funeral Information

Jody L. Jensen (nee Wood), 68, of St. Peters, Mo. entered eternal life with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ July 18th, 2022. Jody was born in St. Louis, Mo. on September 18, 1953, to Robert and Wanda Lee Wood nee; (Spangenberg). Granddaughter to Louis and Winnie Spangenberg nee; ( Meade) and John and Pauline Wood nee; (Eaglin). Jody is survived by her sister Sandra L. Wood of St. Peters Mo., her three children, daughter Andrea( Jeffrey) Lange, and her son, Matt (Amanda) Bahr, bonus daughter Sara Jensen, significant other Bob Huebner, and six grandchildren, Davon, Gracie, Walter, Jesse, Claire and Jaycee, and several cousins. Jody attended Hazelwood Central HS and earned her BS from the University of Missouri. In 1987, Jody lovingly welcomed Andrea and Matt into her home after the passing of their mother and her best friend, Linda Bahr. She raised and loved both children as though they were her own. On November 18, 2001, Jody married Donald Jensen in Las Vegas, Nevada. Jody and Don met at AT&T where she worked for over 30 years. They were married 14 years until his passing on December 29, 2015. Don and Jody shared a love for Bulldogs and scenic car rides. Jody was known for her humor. She loved sharing a good laugh. She had a caretaking nature. Whether it was a stray cat, a rescued dog, a parent or a child in need, she took care of them. Jody and her sister Sandy enjoyed delivering gifts to nursing homes at Christmas time, fulfilling list of the 100 neediest cases, and shopping to fulfill wish list trees. Even though Jody was a single mother for several years, she gave her all to provide for her kids. She made every holiday and birthday extra special. At Christmas she set up a huge display of animated Christmas figures that was just magical. There was never a bad Christmas in her home. Jody was a fantastic cook. Her lasagna and salmon patties were family favorites. Jody had many lifelong friends/coworkers. She enjoyed meeting with her friends and her sister Sandy for lunch. Jody also enjoyed family gatherings with her many close cousins. Her caretaking nature didn't leave time for hobbies or travel. Her life was devoted to others. She will be dearly missed by all those who loved her. In lieu of flowers, please consider donating to the Long Meadow Rescue Ranch in Union, Mo. in her honor. A memorial church service will be held at Trinity Lutheran Church on Wednesday, August 3rd. The address is 1307 Boone St, Troy, MO 63379. There will be a visitation from 9:30-10 am. The service will be from 10-11am. Lunch will be served following the service. The service will be performed by Rev. Garry A. McCracken
