Obituary for Jerry Lynn Volding 1928 - 2022 Volding, Jerry Lynn Peacefully passed away at home as was his wish on February 13, 2022 at the age of 93 years. Beloved husband of 68 years of Margot R. Volding (nee Schmidt). Loving father and father-in-law of Scott (Lucy) Volding, Kirk (Mary) Volding, Craig (Cheryl) Volding, and Beth (Billy) Dunavant. Dearest grandfather to 11; great-grandfather to 5; dear uncle, cousin, dear friend. Predeceased by daughter Lynne Hurster. Jerry was a hardworking, determined man. He was a self-proclaimed Mr. Fix-it. Super glue was his fix all! He loved travels with family in their many trailers and motor homes to go camping, hunting and fishing. More recently, his outdoor time was spent riding his John Deere lawn tractor. Indoors, he learned how to navigate his computer, type emails in all CAPS, constantly mess up his flip phone and enjoyed watching the same movies on NETFLIX over and over. He loved his family and grandchildren. He will be deeply missed. Interment (10am) on Monday, April 11, Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery, 2900 Sheridan Road, 63125. All are welcome. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to Susan G. Komen or Stray Paws Rescue in Jerry’s name. The family extends a special thank you to the nurses, aides and staff of Kindred at Home for their compassionate care.
