Irma Jane Violet Carr nee; Bandermann March 5, 1934 – August 22, 2022 Irma “Jane” Violet Carr nee; Bandermann passed away peacefully on Monday August 22, 2022 at Delmar Gardens South Nursing Home. Jane was born on March 5, 1934 in Union, MO. to Paul and Geraldine Bandermann. She was preceded in death by both of her parents, her mother at Jane’s birth. Jane lived in Union Missouri most of her life and that is where she met her best friend and love of her life Robert “Bob” Carr. They were united in marriage on June 26, 1951 and were inseparable until Bob’s untimely death in 2010. Jane was the loving mother to three daughters Terri (Doug) Bloemke, Rhonda (George) Linne, and Cindy (Dave) Fitzler. She was preceded in death by her daughter Cindy Fitzler in 1998 and son in-law Doug Bloemke in 2019. She loved her five grandchildren Meagan Gray, Travis Bloemke, Courtney Thomas, Alex (Julie) Bloemke, and Thomas (Emily) Fitzler. Jane loved to make memories with her grandchildren if it was just letting them admire her lipstick cases or by giving them her “homesick pills” which later they found out to be M & M s. Her simple treasures have made lasting memories for generations to come. She also loved her five great grandchildren Jonathan Douglas “JD”, Madeleine “Maddie”, Lillian “Lilly”, Charlotte “Charley” and Bennett. A new Fitzler great grandchild is due to be born in December of this year which she was not blessed to meet. Jane had two sisters. She is survived by Sally Tobben and preceded in death by Wanda Meyer. She is survived by nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Jane loved being a housewife and always enjoyed helping at her daughter’s school functions as a room mother. Her party ideas were always outstanding. She loved working with her flowers in her garden and had beautiful red geraniums every summer. She loved to entertain for the holidays and always loved making cookies with the grandkids. Jane made quite a statement at Southview assisted living and Delmar Gardens South for being the lady in pearls or the lady in pink. She loved to always look nice. She was also a lover of animals especially cats. During her lifetime she spoiled and cared for many lucky felines. In Lieu of flowers, the family would prefer donations be made to Strayhavenrescue.org a feline rescue group that her daughter works with, or Pathways Hospice and Palliative Care, through delmargardens.com. The family would like to give a special” thank you” to the team on division 200 at Delmar Gardens South. During our mother’s stay at Delmar many of these dedicated employees became extended family. Also, Pathways Hospice and Palliative Care was such a blessing this past year to both our mother and family members. A small graveside service will take place at a later date at Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery where Jane will be laid to rest next to her husband.
