Edith (Dee) Mary O'HARA
June 29, 1929 - April 3, 2022
Edith (Dee) Mary O’Hara 92, graduated to her heavenly home on Sunday, April 3, 2022. She was born in Enfield, MA to Gunnar T. Johnson & Edith Coe Johnson. She was preceded in death by her brother Ted Johnson & her sister Dorothy Johnson. Dee is now also reunited with her great love & husband of 70 years, James P. O’Hara. Edith and Jim raised 8 children and made homes in Massachusetts, California, Saudi Arabia, Tucson, Virginia and finally St. Charles, MO. They traveled the world together and shared experiences many only dream of. Edith loved the Lord and lived her faith fully. At one point she and Jim served on the mission field in Tirana, Albania - a true joy for them both. She led numerous bible studies in many places around the globe and thoroughly enjoyed digging into her Hebrew roots. She was a light in this world. Edith loved to cook and was a wonderful hostess - to be surrounded by her large family was “her happy place”. She always made her homes beautiful, cozy & welcoming to all. Edith leaves a great legacy and will be sorely missed by all who were blessed to know her, especially her children: Gunnar, Kevin (Anne), Dorothy (Scott), Patrick (Christine), Michael (Kathy), Danny (Marcia), Denis (Kim) & Christopher (Cindy). In addition to her children, she also has 22 grandchildren, 27 great grandchildren & 2 great-great grands! She has taught us the Biblical truth that to be absent from the body is to be present with the Lord. She is dancing and singing in Glory right now and He is saying “Well done faithful daughter!” We’ll see you again and we love you Mom - always & forever.
