**Vickie Lee Kindel (Black)**, born on August 28, 1950, in Ironton, Missouri, is now eternally pain free in the company of her savior!! On October 23, 2023 at 8:10am, Vickie was called to her heavenly home. A beacon of strength, resilience, and faith, Vickie's legacy is one of love, service, and an unyielding commitment to those she cherished. We invite all of Vickie’s family and friends to come celebrate her life together in remembrance of the “good times”. See details below. A proud alumna of Pattonville High School, Vickie's formative years were marked by strong friendships, many of which she cherished throughout her life. As a dedicated professional in the finance industry, Vickie's journey was nothing short of inspiring. As a single mother to two, she often juggled multiple jobs. Her perseverance saw her rise through the ranks, breaking barriers in a male-dominated sector and advocating for women's rights and equal treatment. Family was Vickie's anchor. She is survived by her loving children, son, Christopher Aaron Kindel and daughter, Amanda Joy West; her son-in-law Donald West Jr; her cherished grandchildren, Hailey and Emma Kindel, and Colin and Bella West; her great-grandson Atlas Dowdall. Predeceased by her parents, Floyd William and Mary Lee Black, Vickie was the eldest of four, leaving behind her siblings Steven Black, Annie Morris, Brenda Brusca, and an honorary sister, Vernita Wilson, whose friendship was a treasure to both Vickie and her family. Vickie's life was defined by her passions. Foremost was her deep faith in Christ Jesus. From her formative years, she was called to serve, from sharing gospel tunes around campfires to raising her children in the knowledge and love of Christ and leading bible studies in her church. Many admired Vickie's beautifully landscaped home, dotted with wildflowers, a testament to her green thumb. This love for gardening was not just a hobby but a legacy she passed on to her children. Vickie relished her time with book clubs. Whether it was the joy of reading or the cherished camaraderie and fellowship with friends, these gatherings held a special place in her heart. Quilting was more than a craft for Vickie; it was an expression of her love and creativity. Group quilting sessions were not just about fabric and patterns but about laughter, shared stories, and the warmth of friendship. Memorial Service will be held: Monday, November 6th at 2:00pm Fee Fee Baptist Church 11330 St. Charles Rock Rd. Bridgeton, MO 63044 Service Time: 2:00pm Celebration of Life Party following service with appetizers, music, and shared stories. Vickie has asked that we celebrate her life with a party. Vickie’s request is that family and friends gather to focus on positive memories and that we join together to praise God for relieving her from sickness and pain. Rejoicing that she is now eternally in paradise (Luke 23:43). In lieu of flower: We ask that you bring one or more items below to the celebration. a. Appetizer style dish to share. Sweet or Savory. b. One or more written memory to share i. Memories will be placed for everyone to read and enjoy c. Photos you’d like to share on the memory board. i. Please write your name on the back so that you go home with your photo(s). d. If you were blessed with a handmade quilt from Vickie (Nana), we ask that you bring the quilt with you to lay over the pews during the service. So that everyone can be comforted by her quilts and remember her. Instead of wearing black: We invite you to wear something that reminds you of Vickie’s life.
