Timothy Alan SANDERS

Sanders, Timothy age 50, of O’Fallon, MO died Thursday, May 28, 2015. He was born September 23, 1964 in St. Louis, MO the son of Ralph and Francis Wright Sanders who preceded him in death. Tim was a graduate of Ritenour High School, class of 1983. Tim enlisted into the Armed Forces; immediately after graduating high school. Served our country and was a proud veteran for nine-years while serving four-years overseas in active war time enduring black outs, bomb threats, food rations, safety patrol enforcing curfews for three years in Germany, one year in Turkey. Tim was honorably discharged with multiple awards. Commended for his high degree of professionalism he displayed during his participation in Joint readiness exercise border star '85. Through his superior performance and demonstrated personal motivation he not only earned due credit upon himself, but also enhanced the reputation of the 62d medical group as an organization of professionals, His attention to detail and tireless efforts have been chiefly instrumental in hi units achievement of consistently perfect personnel performance statistics, Congratulated by the Army for a job extremely well done. He was certainly a credit to the US Army Garrison, Fort Sam Houston, and the US Army. Tim received many honors including the Good conduct medal, Army achievement medal, Achievement of the 66th military intelligence Brigade. Tim is survived by his high school sweetheart and loving wife Ginger (nee Fetters), his children Eric Sanders, Ashley (Joshua) Smith, Kevin Sanders. Loving grandfather of Brooklyn. The eldest Eric was born in their home state, Missouri, their only daughter was born in San Antonio, Texas; Tim always loved going to the Alamo. Their youngest son Kevin was born to them in Munich, Germany. Loving son of the late Ralph and Francis Sanders, loving son-in-law of Robert and the late Shirley Fetters. Father- in- law of Joshua Smith. Cherished grandson of the late Albert and late Katherine Gehrs and the late Walter and late Arnie Sanders. Honored brother of Ralph (Becky) Sanders, Pam(Gerald) Stout, Debra(John) Ziebold, Linda(Bart) Garner, and Walter (Angela) Sanders. Dear brother-in-law of Patricia (James) Martin, the late Earl Fetters, Christine Stephan, the late Robert Fetters Jr., Maria (Mark) Ferguson. Beloved Uncle and friend to all who knew him. Most of all Tim loved his family very much; was a friend to all who knew him. Tim had a love of eagles and is now soaring in heaven with his eagles and family members who have went to heaven before him. Visitation will be held Tuesday June 2, 2015 3:00pm to 7:00pm, at Alternative Funeral & Cremation Services, 2115 Parkway Dr. St. Peters, MO 63376. Procession, to leave funeral home at 9:45am for Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery.
