Sherri Lynn LESCH

Sherri Lynn Lesch (nee Himmelsbach), age 51, of O’Fallon, Missouri passed away at 3:07 p.m. surrounded by her family at St. Joseph Hospital, St. Charles, Missouri on Tuesday, September 7, 2021. She was born at Normandy Osteopathic Hospital, St. Louis, Missouri to Wayne Francis Himmelsbach and Mary Ellen Ridings on Sunday, October 19, 1969. Sherri graduated from Coal City High School, Class of 1988. With much determination she graduated from St. Charles Community College with her Associates Degree and spent her working career in office administration. Sherri married James Lesch on June 12, 1993 at Immanuel Lutheran Church, St. Charles, Missouri. She was the love of Jim’s life and was a wonderful stepmother and mother to Christopher, Constance, Dylan and Alexis Lesch. Sherri took immense joy in helping others and enjoyed many hobbies and interest including Diamonds in the Ruff Rescue, Missouri Foster Care and Adoption Association (MFCAA) and the Precious Moments Club just to name a few. Sherri loved deeply, believed faithfully, lived life to the fullest and brought joy to everyone who knew her. Sherri is survived by her beloved husband, James Lesch, O’Fallon, Missouri; her children Christopher (Crista) Lesch, Pacific, Missouri; Constance (Kelsey) Stager, St. Louis, Missouri; Dylan Lesch, Springfield, Missouri; Alexis Lesch, Clay, New York; her father Wayne Himmelsbach, St. Charles, Missouri; her two sisters Angela Day, Warrenton, Missouri; Melissa Kelly, O’Fallon, Missouri and her three grandchildren Hayzul and Nicholas Lesch and Owen Stager and many nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her mother, Mary Ellen Snook (nee Ridings), her grandparents Warren G. and Norma Ridings, Frances Louise Mullenix and Alphonse and Bernadette Himmelsbach. A service is scheduled for Friday, September 24, 2021 at Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary Catholic Church, 403 N. Main Street, O’Fallon, Missouri 63366. Visitation will be from 9:30-10:30 a.m. with mass at 10:30 a.m. A live stream of the service will also be available on that day and saved for future viewing on the church website for anyone who cannot attend. A luncheon will immediately follow the service from 11:30 a.m. – 3:00 p.m. at the O’Fallon Knights of Columbus, 202 W. 3rd Street, O’Fallon, Missouri 63366 (Upstairs). The family invites all of her family and friends to join them. A celebration of life will be held on June 12, 2022 for all family and friends. Details will be announced at a later time.
