It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Rosemary Wehner, a beloved wife, sister, and friend. Rosemary left us peacefully on January 14, 2024, at the age of 66. Born on February 25, 1957, in Lakewood, OH, to Marta (nee Babjak) and Micheal, Rosemary grew up with her brother Mark, attending Ss. Cyril & Methodius Grade School from grades 1 through 8 and graduating from Lakewood High School in 1975 where she was on the Swim Team. Also, during high school, she worked at Burger King in Lakewood. Rosemary's love for creativity and crafting blossomed early and remained a central part of her life. For many years, Rosemary worked in craft retail, including positions at Archivers, JoAnn Fabric, and Vera Bradley. Her passion for crafting wasn't just a profession; it was a way of connecting with others. She was a trusted advisor and teacher, imparting her skills through class instruction, one-on-one advice, and general discussions. Her enthusiasm and expertise helped countless individuals enhance their own crafting abilities. Beyond her professional life, Rosemary was deeply involved in dog sports. Her Belgian Tervurens excelled in Agility and Flyball, reflecting her dedication and love for her canine companions Storm and Twilight. Her achievements in Agility, Obedience, and Flyball were not just personal triumphs but also sources of joy and inspiration for others in the dog sport community. Rosemary's love extended beyond her immediate circle. She taught beginner dog training at a local community center and brought her dogs to nursing homes and juvenile centers, spreading happiness with their tricks and unconditional love. On September 15, 1984, Rosemary married Edward Wehner, and they made their home in St. Louis, Missouri. Together, they shared a life full of adventure, travel, and love. Rosemary's vibrant personality, sense of humor, and unwavering support touched everyone she met. Rosemary was a beacon of joy, creativity, and kindness. Her legacy of helping others, whether through her organizational skills, crafting expertise, or simply by being a friend, will live on in the hearts of all who knew her. The family extends an invitation to celebrate Rosemary's life with a memorial gathering at Alternative Funeral & Cremation Services on Friday, February 2nd, 2024, from 4:30pm – 6:30pm. Rosemary will be deeply missed but never forgotten. Her spirit, laughter, and love remain with us always.
