Ronald Rocky WENICK

Ronald Rocky Wenick was born on February 7, 1958, passed away peacefully in his sleep on October 24, 2024, at the age of 66 due to complications from pneumonia. Rocky was a beloved son, brother, partner and friend, leaving behind a rich legacy of love and laughter. He was the cherished son of Mother Frieda McCann, his Father Harry Wenick, his lifelong partner of 35 years Tina Stuckenschneider, and his grandparents George and Sodonia Ellis in which he preceded in death. Although Rocky and Tina never had children of their own, their lives were enriched with the love and joy of their nieces and nephews. They created a home filled with warmth, laughter and companionship. He is survived by his devoted brothers which he held a very special bond with Fred Kaytes, Steve Wenick (Maureen), Scott Wenick and Todd Wenick. His nephews and nieces in which he had a very special place for in his heart. Rocky and his love were special, when he loved he loved deep. Nothing was truer than when Rocky became so sick that he needed a double lung transplant and thanks to the gracious gift of a family who lost a loved one he was granted the gift of extending his life for 8 more years. We will forever be grateful to that family for their unselfish gift of life. During this time, his brothers did everything they could to get Rocky through his long journey of hospital and rehabilitation stay and with that the brothers’ bond grew even stronger. Though Fred and Steve lived out of state and were unable to be there they were always there for any emotional support. The brothers felt so blessed to have this special time with Rocky. Throughout life Rocky especially loved working on cars with a very special friend, Larry Stuckenschneider as well as playing cards and gambling. However, the most iconic symbol of Rocky was his unwavering love for mountain dew. Ronald Rocky Wenick will be remembered not only for his kindness and warmth but also for the laughter he brought into the lives of everyone who knew him. His legacy will live on in the hearts of his family, friends and all those lives he touched. As we bid farewell to Rocky, we celebrate a life well-lived, filled with love, joy, and spirit that will forever inspire those left behind.
