Ronald Dean RACKLEY

Ronald (Ron) Dean Rackley 67, passed away in the morning hours of Friday, September 23, 2016 while in the comfort of his own home. Ron is survived by his son Cory Rackley and wife Angela and his two beautiful grandchildren Addison and Kinley; his amazing daughter Mindy Rackley; his sister Kayte (Gary) Johnson; and his late parents Raleigh and Donnie Rackley (Nana & Papa). Ron is a Vietnam veteran who proudly served our country. He was an amazing and wonderful father who brought so much laughter and joy to everyone he was around. He had such an ability to talk to any and everyone, Even if they were complete strangers. "Papa" as the grandkids always called him cherished every minute they spent with him and were always the first ones to run out and give him a hug when he came over for his weekends stays. His passion for the outdoors was the most amazing thing we've ever seen. He lived and worked for every single waterfowl season and turkey season. His true passion was waterfowl hunting and the memories we made with him and the laughter we shared will live on in our hearts forever. It won't be the same without you around dad but you were one of the strongest men we knew. The last 2 1/2 months he boldly fought his battle with cancer. He never gave up hope and fought each and every day until the Lord called for him and opened up his arms and brought him in to heaven. I wish we could've had more time with you dad but we know that every minute that we spent with you and you spent with others and the memories that were made will never be replaced and will live on in each of us every day. I know he is looking down on us smiling and giving us the strength we need to heal. We love you dad and you will never ever be forgotten and the memories you have given to us will always be cherished each and every day. We miss you and love you with every breath we take. A celebration of Life will be announced at a later date.
