Ronald Dean ELIZONDO

Ronald Elizondo July 15, 1957 - December 10, 2022 Ronald Dean Elizondo, loving son, brother, devoted father, and friend went to be with our Lord on Saturday, December 10, 2022 at the age of 65. He was born on July 15, 1957 in San Antonio, TX, as the first child to his loving parents, Gloria & Rudy Elizondo. As a faithful believer in Christ, Ronald lived his life to the fullest. Among many of his hobbies, Ron found the most joy in participating in various Alamo re-enactments as a member for Texas historical societies such as San Antonio Living History Association and Alamo Legacy and Missions Association. He starred in Alamo, The Price of Freedom, a feature film shown at the Rivercenter Imax Theatre in San Antonio. His passion for the Alamo and its history did not stop there. On his own, he built a 7-by-8 foot diorama of the fort to not only display, but also as a game that he would use to compete with friends when he lived in San Antonio. Aside from his hobbies, Ron also enjoyed his time as international auditor for Ralston Purina, where he put his ability to speak Spanish to good use. He traveled to many different countries around the world where he got to see and experience so much. Between work as an accountant and his love for historic hobbies, Ron was also passionate about his role as a father. Ron strived to show support for his son in any way that he could by helping out with school projects, seeing plays and offering advice whenever he could. He marveled in watching his son take great interest in history much like himself and kept things fun. They enjoyed various activities together such as fishing, building and painting models, going to the movies, seeing plays, watching baseball games, participating in Texas history reenactments, and of course, watching The Alamo and quoting lines from his favorite movies. Ron also had very many friends that he made through all walks of life and was loved by many. Ronald is survived by his loving sister, Velma Garcia; his beloved son, Ryan Elizondo, and countless friends and relatives. He will be dearly missed but always loved and remembered. His family would also like to thank the caring staff and administrators of Windsor Estates who took great care of Ronald in the last few months of his life
