Ricky Lawrence GOEBEL

Ricky L. Goebel Sr. passed away on Tuesday, May 9th, 2023 at the age of 69 years young at home with his loved ones. Ricky was born on August 25, 1953 in Missouri to the late Robert H. Goebel and Shirley N. Goebel (Kleinheider). He is preceded in death by his son, Everett S. Goebel and brother, Robert L. Goebel. His greatest joys were his children, grand children, and his friends and family with whom he loved spending time with. He dedicated the last 50+ years of his life to the family business Bob’s Auto Parts which is where he could be found covered in grease, and working hard with his coworkers turned best buddys. When he wasn’t elbows deep working, he could also be found enjoying a cold one or a JnC with his best bud Chuck. He was a volunteer for the North End Association for many years. Once his children flew the nest, but not too far away of course, he was blessed with eight beautiful grandchildren. That’s when he became the beloved “Pa” that would take them for treats, rides to the park or just about anything else they could talk him into. He LOVED time spent with family and friends. Ricky is survived by his loving children: Melissa Goebel Ryann, Ricky L. Goebel Jr., Annie P. Goebel, and Bobby N. (Lex) Goebel, and the love of his life Cynthia Goebel. His siblings: Patricia A. Hicks, Katherine J. (Mark) Patterson, Terri L. (Mitch) Eckerle. “In life we loved you dearly, in death we love you still. In our hearts you hold a place that no one could ever fill. It broke our hearts to lose you, though, you didn’t go alone, for a part of us went with you, the day God took you home. Until we meet again... “ Memorial Visitation will be held at Alternative Funeral and Cremation Services 2115 Parkway Dr. St. Peters, Mo. 63376 on May 20th, 2023, from 12-2pm with a Celebration of Life at 2pm. **Food and Beverages will be provided at Cynthia Goebel’s home (1749 Fairview Farm Circle Wentzville, MO. 63385) immediately following. Bring a dish/drink to share in Rick’s honor.** In lieu of donations, please do something kind for someone else, enjoy some laughs with the ones you love, buy a lottery ticket, a shot or beer, and visit your local junk yard in his honor!!!
