Ralph G. WILLIAMS

Ralph G. Williams, asleep in Jesus on February 4, 2019 after a year long battle with lung cancer. His loving wife of 16 years, Linda Williams (nee Wesche) was at his side. Ralph is survived by his sons, Brian (Diane) and Mic Williams and daughter, Michelle (Mike) Wallace. Cherished grandfather of Grant (Hayley) Williams, Hannah Wyatt (Davis), Gabrielle, Matthew and Zachary Williams and Makenzie and Miley Wallace; dearest great grandfather of Olivia Grace Williams; beloved brother of P. Douglas (Christine) Williams; beloved brother-in-law, uncle, great uncle and cousin. Ralph was born May 25, 1948 in Mount Vernon, Ohio. He is the son of the late Nathan Paul and Grace Williams (nee Brock). He is a 1966 graduate of Mount Vernon High School and 1971 graduate of Ohio University with a M.S. in industrial technology. He worked in sales and marketing for HPM Division and Divelbiss Corporation in Ohio. Ralph moved to the St. Louis/St. Charles area in 1985 to work for Allen Bradley now Rockwell Automation. In 2000, a new position at Rockwell moved Ralph to Ohio for 8 years, then back to the St. Louis/St. Charles area in 2008. Ralph retired from Rockwell Automation in 2014 after 31 years of service. Ralph was a member of Chapel of the Cross Lutheran Church. He served as an elder and usher. Ralph had a love of Mopar muscle cars, in particular the Dodge Challenger. He owned two 1970 Challenger TA 340 sixpak in his lifetime. He bought new in 1970 and a restored car in 1998. In 2006, he sold the Challenger to give him capital to pursue his interest in owning and riding a Harley-Davidson motorcycle. Since that time, Ralph’s love to ride has been his passion. His retirement days were filled with riding and planning trips. He was an active member of the St. Charles HOG chapter Ralph was a kind, patient, and gentle man. He had a wonderful sense of humor and at times it came out when least expected. He was well respected by his former coworkers, church members and friends from all walks of life. He loved to “tinker” with electronics, woodworking and target shooting. He could design and build some of the most innovative solutions. Ralph loved the Lord and never hesitated to share the good news of Jesus Christ. He will be greatly missed here on this earth. We can take comfort knowing Ralph has a room in our Father’s heavenly home. A memorial visitation will be held on Saturday, February 16, 2019 from 12:00 - 2:00 P.M with service to follow at Chapel of the Cross Lutheran Church, 907 Jungermann Rd., St. Peters, MO 63376. An informal gathering will be held on Saturday, February 16 from 3:30 - 5:30 P.M at the Brass Rail, 4601 Hwy K., O'Fallon, MO. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to the Chapel of the Cross Benevolent fund or to the American Cancer Society.
