Pflueger, H., DDS, MAGD

Dr. Ronald Pflueger was born on September 9, 1931. He attended the University of Utah, Salt Lake City and received his dental degree from Washington University School of Dental Medicine in 1958. In 1950 Dr. Pflueger joined the Utah Air National Guard until 1954; he served on active duty from May of 1951 to October of 1952. Until his retirement Dr. Pflueger maintained a private general dentistry practice in Florissant, Missouri. Dr. Pflueger is a member of the American Dental Association, the Greater St. Louis Dental Society, Delta Sigma Delta Dental Fraternity, Omicron Kappa Upsilon Honorary Society and the International College of Dentists. He is a past member of the St. Louis Dental Research Group, American Equilibration Socieety, Academy of General Dentistry and the Missouri Academy of General Dentistry. He served as President of the St. Louis Dental Research Group in 1980, Society for Occlusal Studies on 1987 and the Missouri Academy of General Dentistry from 1989-1990. In addition, Dr. Pflueger held academic positions and appointments at Washington University School of Dentistry from 1976-1983 as an instructor, Associate Professor, Assistant Professor and a Director. Dr. Pflueger's community involvement has been immeasurable. He was a member of the Board of Manager's North County YMCA, President of the Florissant Valley Sunrise Rotary Club and President of Friends of Pallattine Renewal Center. Dr. Pflueger performed volunteer dental services for Mary Grove and particpated in the Give Kids a Smile program. His most recent community involvement has been with SSM, St. Joseph Hospital, St. Charles Senior Service Dental Clinic where he has been a member of their Advisory Board since 2004 and volunteers much of his time at the clinic performing dentistry. Dr. Pflueger has been married to Charlotte Ann for 50 years. He is special to his brother Wayne and late Richard Pflueger. They share five children, Kathy (Terry) Day, Allen (Joan) Richard (Toni), Martin, Kara (Ernie) Melin. He is the very proud grandfather to Angela (Ryan) Lavin, Danielle (Michael) Prox, Alyse (Pfc Daniel) Vehlewald, Jacob Wiese, Allison, Alex, Kyle, Mitchell Pflueger, Matthew and Adam Melin. Dr. Pflueger was a doting great-grandfather to McKenna Lavin. A memorial mass will be held at St. Cletus Church 2705 Zumbehl Road, St. Charles, MO 63301 on July 19, 2008 at 12 noon.
