Michael James HAHN

Michael James Hahn, 68 of O'Fallon, MO., died Tuesday, October 16, 2018 at Barnes Jewish Hospital in St. Peters, MO. He was born April 15, 1950 in St. Charles, MO. The son of Vincent and Betty Ann Hahn (nee Zerr). Mike was first and foremost a family man and loved his very much. He worked many years as a welder, fabricator and could build anything. He even designed his BBQ table because the store bought ones were never good enough and way to small. He even designed and built a smoker that he loved roasting hogs in. He had many hobbies including Nascar, boating, being at The Windmill and definitely eating at Fast Eddies. He was building/restoring a 1954 5 window Chevy truck. His talents were endless including building cosplay props and fixing any and everything. He cherished time with friends and family and would help anyone who needed him. He was loved by many and someone always had a funny story or fond memory that included him. He was an amazing spouse, son, father, grandfather and brother. He loved being PaPa. He was quick to have you laughing with his favorite sayings. “Can’t never did do nothin” and dont dare tell him you have a headache or he’ll tell you “a head like that outta ache”. And most famous was “gotta be smarter than what you’re working on”. He was wise and always had good advice. He gave tough love but you knew as mad as he could get he loved bigger and his bark was way bigger than his bite. He was honest, fierce, loyal and dependable. He fought so hard. A hundred and ten percent they said. We were all so proud of him for that. While he is gone he truly will never be forgotten and will be missed by so many. Loving spouse of Elaine Knudsen. Loving son of Betty Ann Hahn. Loving father of Julie Michelle Hahn, Wade A. Hahn and John Knudsen. Loving brother of Gary Hahn, Barbara Hahn, Dave Hahn, Patricia Hahn Sutton, Carolyn Floyd and Alan Hahn. Loving grandfather of Kaitlyn A. McBroom, Justin M. McBroom, Ryan M. McBroom, Scot R. Godfrey and Allen M. Hahn. Mr. Hahn is preceded in death by his father Vincent Hahn and his brother Kevin Hahn. Please join us in celebrating his life October 22nd at Alternative Funeral Services, 2115 Parkway Drive in St. Peter’s from 5 to 7pm.
