Joseph Anthony Caracci Jr.

We are overcome with sadness in sharing that Joseph Anthony Caracci Jr., of Wentzville, Missouri, a husband, dad, "Papa," and one-of-a-kind friend, passed away on Saturday, March 1, 2025, at the age of 66. Loving you more than words can say, missing you more each passing day. Adored and treasured husband and soulmate of over 30 years to Michelle Caracci. Cherished son of Shirley Caracci and the late Joseph Anthony Caracci Sr.; and son-in-law of Terry and Dianne Mabus. Loving and devoted Dad to Mandy Caracci (Chris), Jamie Valdez (Bobby), and Amanda Starke (Joe). He also loved his sons-in-law, Chris, Bobby, and Joe as his very own sons. Loving and idolized Papa to Olive Valdez, Addie Valdez, Marshall Thomson, Kennedy Starke, Savannah Starke, and a grandson that is currently cooking in Amanda’s womb. Joe’s girls and grandkids gave him a tremendous amount of joy and pride. Dearest brother to Jack Caracci (Joan), Annette Regan (Tom), and Carol Dorenkamp (Rick). Dear brother-in-law to Penny Robley, Brian Mabus (Charlotte), and Lonnie Mabus (Erin). Beloved uncle to Jason Dorenkamp, Eric Dorenkamp (Michelle), Karin Roper (Dane), Jenny Syed (Tariq), Melissa Wood (Eric), Matt Regan (Mindy), Tyler Robley, Travis Robley, Ali Mabus, Hannah Thompson (Billy), Jon Mabus, Brennan Mabus, Lexi Robley, and Anthony Mabus. Loved great uncle to Meredith, Rania, Harper, Nyla, Kylie, Keira, Zane, Ella, Logan, Averie and Baker. Best friends with Dave Jolley; a very, very good friend with Donna Myers; and a friend to all. Joe was a proud tool and die maker at Boeing for nearly 40 years. He loved to share laughs with his girls watching Jerry Springer, and then of course never turned down a chance to watch whatever his grandkids wanted. He was a renowned Cardinal fan and track suit connoisseur. He loved John Deere, sitting by the pool, and doing anything with and for his kids and grandkids, including those home improvement projects with Jamie. Joe loved traveling with his wife, particularly to places with warm climates and beautiful beaches, and he lived for all of the family vacations. He will be remembered for his unrivaled ability to remember dates, provide unprompted percentages, his refusal to eat any green veggies, and for being the life of every party. Above all, his greatest joy was his family whom he loved above anything. Joe was so very loved, and to say he will be missed by all is an understatement. His death has left a deep void in the lives of those who loved him. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in Joe’s name to the St. Louis Senior Dog Project.
