James Arthur McMILLEN

James Arthur (Jim) McMillen, 85, passed away on Thursday, August 6, 2020. Jim was preceded in death by his loving wife, Eulalea I (Harvey) McMillen, his parents, Beulah E (Sutton) McMillen and William Isaac McMillen and by his brother and sister, William B McMillen, and Lily E McMillen. He will be sadly missed by his children, Katherine (Chuck) Allen, Kristine (Michael) Fields, Karen Smith and Michael McMillen; by his grandchildren, Stephanie (Dan) Christner, Megan (Craig) Wolf, Samantha (Jon) Huskey, Gregory (Grace) Fields, James Patrick (Jennifer) Allen, Daniel (Melinda) Smith, Jenelle (Dan) Carrigan, Sarah (Vincent) Mess, Nathaniel (Taylor) Fields and Ian McMillen; 14 great-grandchildren; his step-grandchildren; his sisters-in-law, Joy (Fred) Sterner and Jean Fiscus; his brothers-in-law, Jim (Gayle) Harvey, Tim (Jackie) Harvey and Ted (Susan) Harvey; by his many cousins, nieces, nephews; and friends. Jim graduated from Central High School, Pueblo, CO in 1952 and from Southern Colorado State College. He is retired from the Denver & Rio Grande Railroad and as a real estate agent with ReMax, Pueblo, CO. He was a proud Eagle Scout, a member of Faith United Methodist Church, St. Charles, MO, 50 + year member of The United Transportation Union (past treasurer local 204) the fraternal orders of Elks, Lions, Jaycees, and Eagles, a beloved and respected husband, father, brother, and friend. He will be greatly missed for the love he showed, for his quirky humor and good advice, for his conversation, and his insight. He was an avid amateur historian, loved to read good crime novels, and shared his love of the great outdoors and National Parks with his family. Although we are very sad to lose this inspirational man, we rejoice that he will once again be with his lovely wife. A socially distanced visitation will commence at Faith United Methodist Church, 2950 Droste Rd, St, Charles, MO at 2:00 PM on Saturday, August 15 (masks required), with funeral service to follow at 3:00. There will be an additional graveside service in Pueblo, CO at Mountain View cemetery on Saturday, August 22, time to be announced in the Pueblo Chieftan.
