Grace GREEN

Mrs. Green, 76, passed away Friday, November 5, 2021 at 3:20 pm at Barnes Jewish Hospital in St. Peters, MO. Grace was Born June 5, 1945 in Apex, MO, she was the daughter of Walter and Viola Crumes. Grace was united in marriage to Holmer Green. This union was blessed with five children: Joyce Hunn. Merlin Green, Tina Hunter and Gloria Green all of Elsberry, MO and Bonnie Crumes of Troy, MO and the beloved Patricia Adams of Bowling Green, MO. Grace was known as “Mom” or “Momma” to many who individually had a special place in her heart. She was a genuine friend who was loving, kind, caring and always had patience and an ear to listen. Grace loved a Pepsi and a candy bar as her treat. Grace was a fantastic cook and loved her entire family. Grace always smiled, loved to laugh and never knew a stranger and loved God and her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren with all her heart. Grace worked at nursing home in Old Alexandria called The Pink home and worked at Big D’s restaurant and Forrest Keeling Nursery in Elsberry, MO. Grace was a longtime member of Centennial United Methodist Church. Grace was preceded in death by her parents, Walter and Viola Crumes; her brother, Frank Crumes and his wife Helen Crumes; Her husband Holmer Green and their daughter Patricia Adams along with one grandson Isiaha Perkins and one granddaughter Teanna Green. Survivors include her four daughters Joyce Hunn her husband Wally of St. Charles, MO, Merlin Green and life partner Jerry Powell, Tina Hunter, Gloria Green all of Elsberry, MO and Bonnie Crumes of Troy, MO; Step children Herman Green and Rita Johnson both of Chicago Illinois; her grandchildren: Pricilla Adams of California, Prashauna Adams of Bowling Green, MO, Penny Matthews and Ricardo Hunter of Moscow Mills, MO. Jessica Green, Norman Green, Carmen Green, Jerica Green, Otha Porter Jr of Elsberry, MO. Ashley Green of Columbia, MO and Shannon and her husband Shaun Conway of St. Louis, MO. Grace also leaves her great grandchildren and a host of nieces and nephews also family and friends. Grace is and will be truly loved and missed by all who knew her. Repass will follow the memorial services and held at Centennial United Methodist Church, 411 South 6th street, Elsberry, MO. 63343 Funeral Services for Grace Green of Elsberry, MO will be held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, November 13, 2021 at Centennial United Methodist Church in Elsberry. Rev. Brenda Cockrell, pastor of Centennial United Methodist Church in Elsberry, will officiate.
