Glenda D. WAGNER HOLLEMAN

Glenda D. Wagner Holleman, age 88, of St. Louis, MO, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, November 18, surrounded by loved ones. Glenda was born on May 19 in Blytheville, AR, to Obediah Holleman and Christine Holleman McElroy. From an early age, she showed a deep love for her family and a strong work ethic. She worked as a cotton picker in Arkansas while helping care for her younger siblings. Though life presented many challenges, her resilient spirit and determination allowed her to rise above them and make the most of every circumstance. On June 30, 1957, Glenda married Jesse Joe Wagner, and together they built a strong family. She later worked as a certified nurse technician, where she was known for her compassion, dedication, and unwavering commitment to the patients she cared for. Outside of work, Glenda enjoyed cooking, gardening, shopping, rescuing dogs, sewing, crocheting, decorating her home, ceramics, reading books, and spending time with her children and grandchildren. She will be remembered for her sassy personality, her eye for fashion, her warm and radiant smile, and her steadfast faith in the Lord. Glenda is survived by her children: Joseph Wagner, Beth (Bruns) Wagner, Michelle (Arthur) Stephens, and Christopher Wagner; her siblings, George Holleman, Jim (Carol) Holleman, and Edward Toedtli (Benny), her grandchildren: Billy and Amy, Travis and Stephanie, Hailey Wagner, James and Sharron, Jeremy, Jennifer, and Jason Wagner, Denise, DJ, Jessica, Andrea, and Nicholas Schell, Alicia and Roy Storts, Katelyn and Austin Stephens, Victoria and Gary Milligan, and Alyssa and Lennon Wagner; as well as multiple great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, Obediah and Christine Hollemann; her husband, Jesse Joe Wagner; her children, Theresa Forbes and James Wagner; her siblings, Gene Beaver, Frank Holleman, Winston Holleman, Cecile Martinez, Lewis Holleman, and Barbara, her great-granddaughter, Rylie Schell; and her great-grandson, Jesiah Wagner. A visitation will be held on Saturday, November 22, from 10:00 AM - 12:00 PM at Restoration Church – Gwaltney Hall (St. Charles), followed by a funeral service at 12:00 PM. Burial will take place immediately afterward at Troy City Cemetery. The family extends heartfelt gratitude to the staff at Villages of St. Peters, St. Croix Hospice, and Restoration Church for their kindness, care, and support. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the family to help with funeral arrangements in Glenda Wagner’s honor. Glenda touched countless lives and will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered.
