Gary Gene Wetteroff Jr.

Gary Gene Wetteroff Jr., died unexpectedly on March 8, 2023, at St Joseph Hospital in St. Charles, MO. from cardiac arrest. He was only 57 years old. The family is deeply saddened and shocked by his sudden death. Gary Wetteroff was a kind and thoughtful soul and will be missed and remembered by so many lives he touched. He was taken home way too soon. His family hopes he is riding his dream Harley through the heavenly golden gates and playing with his beloved dog, Zeus who passed before him. Gary everyone you left in this world hates that you are gone but we are happy that you are home free, your pain is gone, and you can finally rest. We will always love and miss you until we can meet again. Gary was born in St. Louis, MO on September 25, 1965. Gary loved riding his Harley and having the wind in his face but more than anything Gary loved spending his time with his granddaughters Paige, Raelynn and Loo Hoo; they were the most precious people in his life, and he was such a loving and devoted Papa to his girls. He enjoyed barbecuing and made the best hot wings ever; it made him feel so good to have people rave over his BBQ and his hot wings! Gary was an avid animal lover and enjoyed playing his PlayStation. Gary is survived by his wife Julianne Wetteroff (Denning), his mother Joan M Wetteroff (Suerig), his sisters Kathy Richardson (Ray Richardson), Maryann Wetteroff Overturf (Jeff Overturf), Elizabeth Hawks, Libby Hawks, Ginny Sharlack and Joanne Bryant, his children Timothy Denning, Ashley Chittenden, Kerry Hillborn, Josh Denning, Nick Denning and Liz Shankman, and other aunts, uncles, cousins and assorted family and many caring friends. Gary is preceded in death by his Father Gary G Wetteroff Sr, brother George Wetteroff, George Siebert Suerig and Virginia (Maternal Grandfather and Grandmother), John Wetteroff Sr and Elmina (Paternal Grandfather and Grandmother). Gary was diagnosed with Polycystic Kidney Disease (PKD) and spent the last 2 years and 3 months doing dialysis 3 times a week, 4 hours for each treatment. This took a toll on Garys health, and heart so it stopped him from doing many of the things he enjoyed but he was grateful and thankful for every day he lived. Gary was on the kidney transplant list but unfortunately his heart gave out before he could get a transplant.
