Elma Jeanne FOX

On Saturday, July 3, 2021, Jeanne Merideth Fox, loving mother of three children, passed away at age 80. Jeanne was born on May 28, 1941, in Linton Indiana to Elmo and Mary Ester Merideth. She earned a Registered Nursing Degree from the De Paul School of Nursing in St. Louis Missouri in 1962 and worked in nursing over 50 years. On August 10, 1963, she married John Herbert Fox Jr. (Herbie). They raised one son, John H Fox III (Marie Ellis Fox), and two daughters, Jennifer Ellen Fox Thomas (Craig Allan Thomas) and Shannon Coakley Fox Flannagan (Dr. Ronald Dean Flannagan). Jeanne had seven grandchildren Gabrielle King (Matt King), John Herbert Fox IV, Andrea Guadalupe Thomas (DeVonte Cochrell), Rosa Linda Thomas (Brandon Klamm), Ian Michael Thomas (Amanda Jansen), Faith Ann Busken (Andrew Busken), Bennett Daniel Flannagan Adam Ellis (Tendai Anyaegbunam), Ryan Ellis (Kayla Ellis) and Six great grandchildren, Elizabeth Harper King, Scarlett Athena King, Elliott Itsley Thomas, Handerson, Lee Cochrell, Oaklynn Ann Buskin, Melody Jansen. Jeanne had a passion for singing in the church choir and with the family. She was everyone’s go to for medical advice and counsel. She was an avid sports lover and enjoyed a good Cardinals or Reds baseball game. She also loved to bird watch and garden. Enjoying her long phone calls with her sisters whom she cherished, long time friends, hummingbirds, butterflies, sunflowers, and daises helped her cope with chronic pain during her final days. She was known for her quick wit, her infectious smile, her kind and compassionate spirit and fierce love of her family and friends. Jeanne was preceded in death by her father Elmo, and mother Mary Esther, brother David and husband Herb. A Wake will be held on Thursday July 8th 2021 from 6pm-8pm at Alternative Funeral & Cremation Services, 2115 Parkway Dr, St Peters, MO 63376.
