David Edward MEYER

David Edward Meyer October 7, 1958 – March 21, 2019 Saint Peters, MO (As well as Banning, CA) On Thursday March 21, 2019, Dave passed away unexpectedly in his St. Peters home. He is the son of the late Frederick and Dorothy Meyer. Born on October 7th 1958, in St. Charles, Missouri. He’s always loved working for casinos, and was always proud of the fact that no on from Greater St. Louis had been in the casino industry as long as he had. He was very honored to have had opened and worked at the first casino in the St. Louis area, The Alton Bell. He has since worked for many casinos; Stations Casino, The President, Harrah’s, Casino Queen, Mountain Casino in Taos, NM. He was currently employed at the Morongo Casino in Cabazon, CA, and a proud business partner/co-owner of Divine Nails in O’fallon, Missouri. He is survived by his daughters; Megan N. Meyer of St. Peters, MO, Elizabeth A. and her husband Paul F. Donovan of Warrenton, MO, Danielle S. Horner of Lake St. Louis, MO, He was also a proud papa to 4 grandsons. As well as his siblings, Dorothy Meyer of Flagstaff, AZ, Dennis and his wife Jane Meyer of Annapolis, MD, and Diane Meyer of Las Vegas, NV. As my sisters and I go through this time we would like to share some of our favorite attributes about our father that we will never forget. He liked to live life to the fullest. In his younger years he was a very active person, he liked to fish, ski, bowl, play darts and pool. He wouldn't like to admit it, but sometimes even on his days off you would still catch him at “The Boat.” He had one of the biggest hearts of anyone we’ve ever known, although he was very hard-headed. He always made sure his girls were taken care of, and was very protective of us. He was an amazing father, and never even considered his bonus daughters “step.”We were just all his daughters. He loved to think he was right all the time, even though he wasn’t. He was a very sarcastic, loving, adventurous, outgoing, sensitive, big-hearted, teddy bear. There are no words to explain how much he meant to us, how amazing he really was, and how dearly he will be missed. Please share any memories you have of our father with us as we go through this tough time. In Lieu of flowers please send contributions to the family to be used to help pay for cremation as this was a very sudden unexpected death.
