Daniel "Danny" Ray SPAIN

Danny R Spain, 47 of Ofallon, Missouri passed away on August 6, 2025 after a lengthy battle of liver failure. Danny fought his illness with determination but suffered till God saw he had enough and called him home. Danny Ray Spain was born December 18, 1977 in St Louis, Missouri the son of Gary Spain and Deborah Steed (Spain). Danny lived his childhood years in Bridgeton, Missouri where he graduated from Pattonville High School. Danny worked for his father in Cuba Missouri doing construction and concrete work. In 2004 he moved to St Charles where he resided with his mother until his death. Danny was a man of many trades (concrete finisher, roofer, landscaper, cook). He attended college where he had a degree in Criminal Justice. Danny enjoyed the outdoors which was his passion. He enjoyed camping, fishing, canoeing, gardening and landscaping. He was an animal lover, feeding birds, deer, turkey, raccoon, fox, and whatever came his way. He loved his trucks, his boat and his dog Mya. Danny was a collector of everything from signed pictures, gold, silver, jewels, baseball cards, Steve Austin figures. He had a love for music and enjoyed singing and playing his guitar. Danny was preceded in death by his father Gary Spain; his grandfather Edward Link, his grandmother Dolly Link, his grandfather Lloyd Diveley, his grandmother Goldie Diveley , his aunts Jackie, Carol, Sherry, Teri, uncle David (Diveley) and step brothers Kourtney Steed and Robert Steed Jr. Those left to continue his legacy and treasure his memory are his mother Debbie Steed of Ofallon whom he cherished, his stepfather Robert Steed, his brother Michael Spain and his wife Lois of Cuba, Missouri, his stepbrother Damion Usery, his step grandmother Carrie Steed of St Louis, Missouri, his cousin and best friend Joe Diveley and wife Jena Diveley. His four children Amber, Steve, Allie, Dawson; 3 grandchildren, aunts, uncles, nieces, great nieces and nephews, cousins, his special little partner Elijah and many friends. A special thank you to Joe Diveley, Jena Diveley for loving my son as much as I do. It’s been a long hard-fought battle. To Robert Steed for caring for him when I couldn’t face the pain. To Michael Spain for the loving support for me and your brother and to Jena Diveley, my rock, for holding me when I said goodbye to my baby, Stacey Stelzer and Trina Diveley for stepping in to help arrange the celebration of life. Your love and compassion for me and Dan will never be forgotten. I love you all. Debbie A Celebration of Life will be held Saturday August 23 6:00 p.m. until 10:00 p.m. at Boys and Girls Club 1211 Lindenwood Ave, St. Charles Missouri 63301. Private Interment will be at Memorial Park Cemetery 5200 Lucas and Hunt St Louis Missouri, where Danny will be laid to rest with his father and grandmother.
