Claire Elece BOYLAN

Claire Elyse Boylan, loving daughter, sister, granddaughter, niece and mother passed away Monday, January 22, 2024 in her home in O’Fallon. Claire was 34. Claire was born at St Joseph’s hospital September 20, 1989 to George Boylan and Denise (Schneider) Boylan. She was the youngest child of the union and the only daughter. Claire grew up in O’Fallon and enjoyed many activities but had an avid love of the outdoors. She loved to go canoeing, camping and fishing with her family. She enjoyed outdoor music festivals with friends and family and was a great lover of music and art. She had plans to return to school to pursue an advanced degree in music and art therapy for children. Claire was a graduate of the University of Missouri in St Louis with a Bachelor’s degree in Library Sciences. Claire was a devoted mother to her two children, Casiel George Thies and Remi Lynn Thies who she shared with her partner of five years, Zane Thies. The family resides in O’Fallon in the longtime family home. Along with the many educational activities Claire created and delivered to her children she was devoted to sharing her love of nature, animals and the outdoors with them. She often took them on field trips to petting zoos, alpaca farms, nature trails, water parks and playgrounds. Claire had many creative pursuits and enjoyed, cartooning as well as some animal husbandry, recently beginning to raise lion head rabbits. Claire is mourned by her family and many friends who knew her as a loving and devoted woman whose sweet disposition and creative outlook will be greatly missed. She is survived by her father, George Boylan, her grandmother, Patricia Boylan, her brothers, Lowell (Julie) Boylan and Drew (Rachel) Boylan, her children, Cassiel Thies and Remi Thies, her partner Zane Thies, many aunts, uncles, cousins and extended family. A Mass is planned for 9:30AM, Friday, February 9, 2024 at Immaculate Conception Church in Dardenne, MO. A celebration of life to honor Claire will follow at the Dog Prairie Tavern in St Paul, MO.
