Carla Jean STRICKLEN Obituary - Visitation & Funeral Information

Carla Jean Stricklen September 9, 1947- May 27, 2023 Surrounded by loved ones, Carla passed peacefully on May 27, 2023 and our Lord & Savior welcomed our beloved mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend. Carla was born and raised in St. Charles, MO and worked for St. Joseph Health Center for many years until retirement. She loved being with family and spending time with her Great Neices and Nephew; Presley, Josephine and Zaxton. She enjoyed movies, listening to music, shopping, and cooking new recipes. But her greatest joy was her Great-Grandchildren. She formed a very special bond with Noah who became her forever best friend. To him she was CarCar. She will be remembered for being humble and for the love and kindness she showed to everyone. She will live on in our memories forever. May her soul rest in eternal peace. Carla is survived by her daughter; Tina Vollmer (Kevin); Sister, Patricia Hallemier; Brothers, John Suttmoller (Fran) and Joseph Suttmoller (Ida); Grandchildren, Jonathon Vollmer and Jared Vollmer (Sabrina), Emily Regenold (Voyles) and Hannah Regenold (Brown); Great-Grandchildren; Noah Vollmer and Liam Vollmer; Nieces, Frances Bowen (James Palmieri), Megan Edmondson (Jared), Amber Stewart (Ashton) and Theresa Braden; Nephews, James Oelklaus, Steve Oelklaus (Cheryl), Kevin Bowen, Christopher Suttmoller (Daryl Sparks), Michael Culella, John Halleimer and many cousins, great neices, great nephews and friends. Carla was preceded in death by her beloved son, Micheal Regenold; Parents, John Suttmoller `& Frances Suttmoller (Lohman); Sisters, Marcia Bowen and Mary Oelklaus; Brother, Ronald Suttmoller; Sister-in-Law, Rose Suttmoller and Brother-in-Laws, David Hallemeier and James Oelklaus. There will be a Memorial Visitation at Alternative Funeral & Cremation Services on Monday, June 5, 2023, from 9:30 - 11:30am, with a Service at 11:30 am. There will be a committal service at St. Peters Catholic Cemetery at 12:30pm.
