Barbara Sue KENDRICK

Barbara Sue Kendrick, age 70, of Wentzville, MO died Monday, February 02, 2015 at Carrington Place in St. Charles, MO. She was born May 26, 1944 in Kennett, MO; the daughter of James and Maxine Epps Nee: Crawford. Mrs. Kendrick met and later married Alton "Al" L. Kendrick on September 5, 1964 in Poplar Bluff, MO. She was a member of Grace Baptist Church. There is so much to say I don't even know where to begin. Barb was alsways about family, especially her grandchildren and great grandchildren. They were her world. Between taking amber shopping and getting her dressed up in those little fru fru dresses to having a tea party or going to a tea room with Becky and Bryten. She was always doing stuff with her grandchildren. If she wasn't consuming her time with them then she was either in church, having a Red Hat Society meeting, or buying more tea pots! She loved helping out in anyway she possibly could. Whether it was cooking, baking, putting together a wedding card box or a diaper cake or sewing together some burp clothes, baby blankets or even a dress or two. Barb was very good at decorating. When you walked into her house, it was like walking into a Better Home and Garden's magazine. She was all about her teapots and roses! Barb was there for every event for her kids practices and games. She never missed anything. She even went to Michigan and stayed a month just to be there and see her first great grandchild be born. Barb was the kind of person you could tell anything to and she wouldn't judge. She might let you know how she felt about it but she would never judge you or hold anything against you. She always knew when something was wrong or bothering you without you even saying anything. She could just look at you and tell. Barb was the most caring and selfless person I knew. She left behind a wonderful family to continue her legacy which includes her husband, Alton Kendrick, her father James Epps, three children, Leon Kendrick which gave her three handsome grandsons, Lee, Kory, and Jacob. Lisa Allen who is married to Todd Allen and gave her two beautiful grand daughters, Amber and Becky. Amber is married to Nick and gave Barb her first two great grandchildren, Emma and Jeremiah. Kevin Kendrick is married to Ronda and gave her the last grandchild, Bryten, who calls grandma honey! Barb was a loving wife, mother, memaw, grandma and honey. May she rest in peace and always be with us. Barb you will be missed very dearly and you will always be loved more than words could ever say. She is preceded in death by her loving mother Maxine. Visitation will be held Thursday, February 5, 2015 from 5 - 7 P.M with service starting at 7 P.M at Grace Baptist Church, 3601 Ehlmann Rd, St. Charles, MO 63301. A graveside service will be held Friday, February 6, 2015 at 12:00 P.M at Wood Lawn Cemetery, 1901 N. Main, Poplar Bluff, MO 63901.
