Timothy Raymond SCHNEIDER

Timothy Raymond Schneider, age 65, passed away peacefully and pain free at his home on April 30th at 4:20 pm. Timmy passed on his terms, surrounded by the love of his friends and family, after a lengthy battle with leukemia that was fraught with complications. Always the first to help a friend, share a joke, tell a story, or laugh obnoxiously he will be dearly missed by all who were lucky enough to know him. A proud union electrician, member of IBEW local #1 until his retirement, Timmy is survived by his beloved wife and highschool sweetheart Cathy (this would have been their 44th year of marriage); his two children Katie (Matt) and Kyle (Dan); three grandchildren Nathan, Joslynn, and Brayden; his identical twin and best friend Tom (Sandy), brother Steve (Debbie) and sisters Gerry (Jim) and Mary. He was preceded in death by his loving parents Marge and Les; his brothers Jim (Opal, deceased), Dick, Danny (Phyllis), Bill (Mary), Gene (Terri); his niece Melissa and nephew Steven. In life Tim was a man who picked up a sport or a hobby and became obsessed with it. In his younger, more reckless days it was racing, those who knew him would know better than to get him started about his Camaro or any nice car really. Once he became a father, and his wife knocked some sense into him, he took up fishing. This led to many family trips to the lakes around Missouri for camping and fishing, and not a few arguments over snagged lines and lost baits. Eventually fishing started to take a backseat to golf, this was something he could share with his twin brother, his mother in law, his nephews, and many of his friends. He took to the sport quite well and was honestly fairly decent (he really would have wanted everyone to know that). Timmy’s other obsession was puzzles, he loved his daily puzzles in the paper Jumbles, Sudokus, Crosswords, Cryptoquips, 7 Little Words, and others. These puzzles helped him learn lots of new words that he would often decide to try out, sometimes not quite correctly but damn did he try! To honor Timmy’s life, humor, and sociable nature we will be holding a Celebration of Life, Saturday, June 29th from 1pm - 5pm at the Knights of Columbus St. Charles (20 Westbury Dr.), additional details to follow. Donations can be made in Tim’s name to the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society (LLS.org) to help make an impact in the fight for a cure for cancer.
