Joe Mike MARCIANTE

Joe Michael Marciante, 82, of St. Louis, Missouri, peacefully entered the presence of his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Wednesday, March 8, 2023. He is the dear son of Lucietta Marciante (nee: Desimone). He is preceded in death by two brothers and two sisters, Thomasina ‘Bessie’ Zarbo, Mario Marciante, Vito Marciante and Tina Buskuehl. Joe was the cherished uncle to Leonard Marciante, Marion Marciante (nee: Pettes), Mary Marciante (nee: Kroft), Gina Marciante (nee; Merkle), Mario Marciante, Vito Marciante, Jennie Marciante (nee: Scherer), Mike Buskuehl, Debbie Buskuehl and Patty Buskuehl . He was also loved deeply by his many great-nieces and great-nephews, friends and his kitty cats, Peppe and Miss Kitty. Joe was very quick-witted and always had a joke to share causing laughter in all who heard his jokes. He loved to fish with his family. Joe was a baker by profession and worked for Bommarito bakery among others. In 1974, he earned a Diploma in Drafting from the Basic Institute of Technology. While attempting to quit smoking, Joe realized God had gifted him with the ability to draw and create beautiful art. He created many works of art that he gifted to people in his life throughout the years. The children to whom Joe taught art at Metro Christian Academy fondly remember him not only for his drawing lessons but for the fresh baked bread he would bring in on Fridays. Joe attended Crosspoint Church in St. Louis and participated in the men’s meetings. He was a long time volunteer at Feed My People. Most importantly, Joe loved God and sought to serve Him and honor Him by enlarging His Kingdom. Once he accepted Christ as his Savior, not a day went by that he did not boldly profess his Faith in Christ and confidently share the Word of God with whomever crossed his path -- most often at the local Taco Bell or McDonald’s. We will gather together to celebrate Joe’s life on Monday, March 13, 2023 at Alternative Funeral and Cremation Services, 2115 Parkway Drive, St. Peters, Missouri, 63376. The viewing will be held from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. with a service to follow. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be sent to Special Olympics of Missouri.
