Dennis Michael UNDERWOOD

Dennis Michael Underwood, of St. Charles, MO died on April 29, 2020 at the age of 35. He was born December 22, 1984 in St. Charles, Missouri to Dennis and Erica Underwood. To my teddy bear: Dennis is my husband, best friend, love of my life and amazing father to our 2 beautiful children the light of his life his, pride and joy, Logan and Jewel. We have shared 16 years of our lives together and known each other even longer, since grade school to be exact. There are so many ways you could re-describe a man as great as him, but the best way I know how is loving, strong, stubborn, and kind to a fault. If you are one of the lucky people in life you got to see all of those at the same time. He always loved deeply and strong, would go to the ends of the earth to protect and provide for those with a place in his heart. His passions in life were limitless and never ceased to amaze me and everyone around him. He could light up a room with his smile, sense of humor, and big booming voice, his love and loyalty relentless. I will never have enough words or stories, nothing seems to do him justice. Every moment, smile, and memory we shared will never be enough. I will always love him, cherish him and carry him in the deepest most special place of my heart and soul, for all eternity. From Logan: Dad was a strong man of steel on the inside, a caring and inspirational person, since my earliest memory of him, his smile and laughter was a blessing, always cracking jokes, talking sports, working with our hands he brought joy and laughter while still getting the job done. A big reason for me trying my best at sports was because of this man. His enjoyment of watching, cheering me on, and being able to make him proud is all I could ever ask for. He was always so supportive, it didn’t matter what I did as long as it wasn’t unruly or dangerous, he always had my back as a father, as a best friend. A spot that can never be replaced in my heart. From playing around, to putting me in line, more time with such a wholesome person is all I could ever wish for. With his unfortunate and untimely passing, I wish to be just like him, the way he took care of the family, was such a selfless giving person. Just anything that anyone could ask for, and above all the BIGGEST BLUES FAN, LGB. From Mom and Dad: There will never be enough time to express our feelings for our son. We are so proud of the man he had become. We will love him every minute of every day for the rest of our lives. From your Daddy’s little Girl: I will always be your little girl, Love you and miss you forever and always Love Jewel Your Big Brother Matthew: So we have this photo. We took it for Christmas one year to put inside snow globes that were going to be used as presents. Dad’s sitting down, and Michael, Ben and I are standing behind him. And just-wow! Are we showing off that glorious Underwood facial hair or what! Look at Dad sporting that classic Civil War general look he’s had most of our lives. I have the goatee that went out of style five years before the photo was taken. Poor Ben is there with his baby face. And then there’s Michael, Michael with the most hardcore facial hair possible. It’s a full beard trimmed short except for the hair on his face, and it was perfect. So perfect that he swore he would never shave it, not even for his wedding. Except he did, of course. He knew it would make his bride happy, and that’s what mattered to him.
