Richard (Dick) Lee Swanson, age 89 of Ellisville, MO, went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, January 24, 2012. He was born in Jamestown, NY to Charles John and Gertrude Maude (Oberg) Swanson. He served in the United States Army from 1942 to 1945 as a Chaplains's Assistant. On April 16, 1949 he married Patricia Louise Ivins in Wooster, Ohio. On July 3, 1973 he married Lois Mae Lee in Kirkwood, MO. He worked for A. B. Dick Products Co., now known as Datamax, on Hampton Ave. for 28 years and retired in 1992. He was a member of West County Community Church in Wildwood, MO.

Dick was a loving father to Charles & Diane Swanson of St. Charles, MO, Stephen & Carol Swanson of Chesterfield, MO, Timothy & Debbie Swanson of Gahanna, OH, and John & Connie Lee of Baltimore, OH. He was a loving grandfather to nine grandchildren and one great-grandson. He was a special friend to Jean Burson. He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, Lois, his brother, C. John Swanson, and his son, Richard Keller Swanson.

Memorial services will be 2:00 P.M. Saturday January 28, 2012 at Gambrill Gardens, #1 Strecker Rd. Ellisville, MO 63011. (Please see map) Memorials may be made to Gambrill Gardens in care of Alternative Funeral & Cremation Services 2115 Parkway Dr. St. Peters, MO 63376.
